  • Add CI

    Add CI

needs to be squashed before merging

add CI build & fmt checks. I've put some macOS/windows reminders in there as well.

  • README: stress right Cargo.toml, add branch to git instructions

README: stress right Cargo.toml, add branch to git instructions

It took me a while to notice I was modifying the wrong Cargo.toml because I had glossed over the testsuite hint when reading the instructions. This PR is an attempt to make this info more prominent. Also fixes the dependency instructions to state the right (nonstandard) branch.

  • add CI

    add CI

you can base it off: https://github.com/knurling-rs/defmt/blob/main/.github/workflows/ci.yml we should only test Linux while the repo is private for now we only to check that cargo build works (cargo fmt would also be nice though)

  • Rust-Analyzer's

Rust-Analyzer's "Run test" buttons don't work

The #[test] attribute is picked up by Rust-Analyzer so RA shows "Run Test" buttons but you get an error if you try to use. Those button will invoke cargo test --package testsuite --test test -- tests::assert_true --exact --nocapture which then invokes passes the tests::assert_true --exact --nocapture arguments to probe-run. probe-run will fail to run as it doesn't recognize those command line arguments. Interestingly the mod tests module is also picked up by RA so it also gets a "Run Test" button; that one also fails to run.
