Damae
Damae is a simple CLI tool for mass-deleting tweets. Its name comes from the Latin phrase "damnatio memoriae", which means "condemnation of memory".
Installation
Clone this github repository to your local machine.
cd damae
cargo install --path .
Usage
To use Damae, you must apply for a Twitter developer account, and obtain a consumer key, a consumer secret, an access token, and an access token secret. You must also download your Twitter data archive, and extract it. Once you have all the requirements, you can run Damae with the following command:
damae [OPTIONS] <ARCHIVE_PATH> <CONSUMER_KEY> <CONSUMER_SECRET> <ACCESS_TOKEN> <ACCESS_TOKEN_SECRET>
Important
It is highly recommended that you run Damae with the --dry-run
option first, to preview the changes without actually deleting anything and prevent accidentally deleting tweets.
