A simplified Rust-implementation of D3vd/Meme_API. You can self-host this with ease through Docker, but you can also opt to use our free service.

🧱 Self-hosting

You can self-host this by building the Docker image yourself through the steps below:

Clone this repository through git clone https://github.com/ShindouMihou/Rua
Configure the .env.example file by renaming the .env.example to .env and setting the values inside.
Run the following command: docker run -d -i -t --env-file .env -p 3921:3921 --name rua --restart unless-stopped rua.
You can now use your self-hosted instance of Rua.

This releases fixes a security bug in the regex compiler. This bug permits a vector for a denial-of-service attack in cases where the regex being compiled is untrusted. There are no known problems where the regex is itself trusted, including in cases of untrusted haystacks.

SECURITY #GHSA-m5pq-gvj9-9vr8: Fixes a bug in the regex compiler where empty sub-expressions subverted the existing mitigations in place to enforce a size limit on compiled regexes. Remove dotenv in favour of custom env module.

The current dotenv cargo is causing multiple build issues that I don't have any idea how to fix. I'll move to a custom, smaller implementation of dotenv instead.
