Pyre - A fast python HTTP server inspired by japronto written in rust.

Overview

CodeFactor

Pyre

NOTE: THIS IS NOT PRODUCTION READY AS OF YET A fast asynchronous HTTP server and framework written in Rust for Python. To live and die by speed.

Should I use this server over the existing systems?

Probably not, sure Pyre benches considerably faster than uvicorn with your typical small, plain text response benchmarks (generally 70%+ throughput increase) as soon as you put this into a real world situation I doubt you're going to get over 10% increase, you will probably get lower average latency but again by margins of around 10% so pick and choose your poison.

Current state of Pyre:

The main server api has been implemented other than the H2 and WS protocol sections.

    I got an error if follow case:

    async def main():
        global server
        runner = pyre.LSGIToASGIAdapter(app)
        server = pyre.Server(runner, listen_on='localhost:8080')
        server.ignite()
        await server.run_forever()

  • Can't run benchmarks locally

    Can't run benchmarks locally

    I believe that you just need to move files from tests folder to appropriate folders inside the benchmarking folder.

    Edit: It seems that there are more details for fixing.

Releases(0.2.1)
  • 0.2.1(Jan 18, 2021)

    The base of the new build, this allows the runtime to now recycle allocations and clients, support multiple protocols with dynamic switching and overall a more Rust idiomatic design compared to last time. Hopefully this will yield some better performance than before but the main aim for this was to help readability and maintainability in the long run.
