Overview

This will be developed in Rust on a Teensy 4.1 with an ARM Cortex-M7.

Solutions are stored in src/bin.

Setup

It is really recommended to go through the Dependencies section of the teensy4-rs crate.

The following commands require the cargo-binutils package with llvm installed

# In order to build the code and debug compile time errors one can use:
cargo build --release --bin test 

# To build & translate the output to a hex file use
# Note: The hex will be generated relative to the location of invocation
cargo objcopy --release --bin test -- -O ihex out.hex

# Upload the hex using (requires putting the Teesny into boot mode)
teensy_loader_cli --mcu=TEENSY41 -w out.hex

Rely on BSP for heap preparation
Release 0.2.1 of the BSP moves the heap into OCRAM2. Your question about RAM made me notice that the heap wasn't allocated correctly. Thanks for that.

The PR removes the Memory variant. As of 0.2.1, both RAM1 and RAM2 would end up allocating in OCRAM2, so these variants wouldn't work the same as they did in the 0.2.0 release. heap_len() provides just under 512KiB of heap.

If there's no plan to ever update from 0.2.0 to 0.2.1, consider locking the 0.2.0 BSP version.
